Product line 08 / 12 · Plug-in Units
Modular electronics deserve modular mechanics: shielded frame-type plug-in units that slide into a subrack and seal it.
Frame-type plug-in units carry individual electronic modules inside a 19″ subrack. Each unit is a self-supporting aluminium frame with its own front panel, so modules can be swapped without opening the cabinet. Built to IEC 60297-3-102 / -103 and IEEE 1101.10, the front panels are shieldable with textile EMC gaskets, and the inserter/extractor handles (type IEL / IET) deliver insertion and extraction forces up to 700 N per pair — heavy-duty versions up to 1500 N — while mechanical keying prevents a module from being inserted into the wrong slot. Microswitches for slot-status signalling and label strips for slot identification are part of the accessory set.
